arrumbulada a basciu,
d'asta crettiu mai
ca donara spantu?

Mi sighidi s'umbra
'e unu dolori antigu,
arrogu de scuriu,
corteddara a fillu.

E tottus fillus seus
de mamma atzura
chi zerriat, prangit, pappat
chenza de misura

Aicci castiu a fora
sa pregunta e' "cumment'e'
ca s'arruga aundi seu nasciu
cangiada prus 'e me'?"

Si purdiat sa funi
de bentu de Istiu,
da lassu calai a mari
